Lettin' the ART outta the bag?
Should we invite others from the church to check out this blog? Now that we are posting more regularly, is it time to let others be inspired? Do you want to wait/why? Make your thoughts known by commenting...
i think it would be good to eventually open this up to other folks, and eventually for other folks to post. however, i'm wondering if we should give it a little bit more time for us to actually write some more stuff, too. like let it be a little more developed.
maybe a month more or so?
also, this is a little more nerdy, but i'm wondering if we could port the site over to wordpress. i think it will do a better job with comments and flexibility. anyway, that's kind of a side note.
i've been turning this over in my head for a few days now, and i think i agree with ben. it generally takes me a bit of time to get comfortable with sharing anything i have worked on/i am working on, and i have a feeling i might not post if we had a wider audience right now.
but eventually, yes...i think it would be great to share with others.
i agree. that ben is a nerd. and also that id like the blog to be a bit more developed before we let it outta the bag - developed in terms of our comfortability w posting & developed in terms of the actual number of posts.
but yes! let's aim to share the love eventually. i know at least one other person who would love to join us :)
also, should we make this a secret blog until it's ready to be shared? meaning closed to the 7 of us. i dunno, how do y'all feel about people we dont even know reading/commenting?
i think this is a good conversation to have, for us to agree upon. i'm not sure how private i've been about this blog, to be honest with you. i mean, i haven't explicitly asked folks to check it out, but i've mentioned it to one or two people. i hope that's okay. i'll stop that until we figure this out together... if it's a big deal or not.
as for me, i'm okay with whoever sees, reads and comments. but, i don't mind if want to keep this closed.

i agree with y'all about keeping the blog somewhat private. i kinda see you guys as group of ppl who are committed to supporting e/o in this whole artists path thing, and it'd be cool to continue to feel able to be vulnerable or share art-related questions/thoughts/concerns in this forum. i think it'd be cool to open the blog up to others who want to join in that capacity... but yeah, feels too early to open up to everybody.
also, ben i agree that wordpress looks nicer and may be more flexible... i don't mind blogger though. it's easy to use. but if *somebody* were willing to set up a wordpress i'd be cool with that.
